It is easy growing Microgreen's, however the complication arises when you learn that each one requires slightly different mediums for growth. The best thing to do is start off with the simple ones, broccoli, radish and white mustard seed are basic level.
Things you will need to get started:
Growing medium - coco-coir grow mat, soil, hemp grow mat. Pictured here is coco-coir mat.
A pot or growing container - Terracotta pots are great but you can use cardboard tray or similar.
Microgreen seeds - These can be obtained easily online as quick search wont take long or from selected garden centres.
Water.
Scissors.
Spray bottle.

Using Scissors cut the growing medium, in this case the coco-coir, to the size of your container to line the bottom.

Water the coco-coir thoroughly so damp, you can use a bottle or soak well before putting into the container.

Sprinkle on your Microgreen seeds. As mentioned above some seeds are a little more time consuming to start with and may require soaking 24 hours before hand, simple microgreen seeds as previously discussed wont require you to soak them beforehand and can be sprinkled easily on the the grow mats or soil if you prefer.

Try to sprinkle the seeds as evenly as possible and cover as much of the growing medium as possible.

Spray the seeds well and often, every couple of hours to begin with is good as it will make them start growing much quicker.

Cover over the seeds as they need darkness to really get going. If you have a lid on your microgreen growing containers use that but if not you can use a tea towel to cover them over (as below)

Spray with water multiple times daily until they begin growing and they spray as often as possible to gain more growth.
Once they look like they have grown like the picture below you are ready to cut them and add to your meals.

Enjoy them in sandwiches, sprinkled on soups, added to the top of Risotto, Spaghetti Bolognese, toss them into salads
Microgreens are packed full of nutrients and learning about each one and its benefits is a fun way to enjoy growing and learning about nutrition.
